Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the driver airbag module.

    (Refer to Restraint (Airbag) - " DRIVER AIRBAG (DAB) MODULE AND CLOCK SPRING  ") 

  3. Remove the steering wheel.

    (Refer to Steering System - " STEERING WHEEL REPAIR PROCEDURES  ") 

  4. Loosen the mounting screws from the rear steering wheel cover.

  5. Separate the upper steering wheel remote control switch (A) from the steering wheel.

  6. Remove the upper steering wheel control switch (B) disconnecting the connector (A).
