Component Inspection

■ Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS) Performance Inspection 

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect IATS connector.
3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal and Pin No. 4 (Ground) terminal of the IATS (component side).

   Specification:  Approx. 1.5 kΩ at 83.3°F (28.5°C)

4. Does the IATS operate properly? (Check variation)

   YES 

   • Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

   NO 

   • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
   • If problem still occurs, replace IATS and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
