Component Inspection

■ FRPS Performance Inspection 

1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Using oscilloscope, connect CH A probe to FRPS signal terminal (Pin No. 2) of FRPS connector and CH B probe to TPS1 signal terminal (Pin No. 6) of FRPS connector.
3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
4. Measure signal waveform of FRPS and TPS1 together by stepping on and off the accelerator pedal.

   Specification:  Refer to Signal Waveform & Data below

■ Confirm Part Inspection 

1. Does the FRPS operate properly? (Check variation)

   YES 

   • Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

   NO 

   • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
   • If problem still occurs, replace FRPS and then go to "System Inspection" procedure.
