Repair Procedures: Replacement: [Front]

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
    NOTE: After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the seat back cover.

    (Refer to Body - "FRONT SEAT BACK COVER ")

    NOTE: Improper mounting of the front seat back cover, so interfering with the normal deployment of side airbags and front seat backrest ensure that the cover is well seated.
  3. Loosen the side airbag module nuts and then remove the airbag module (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    6.0 - 8.0 N.m (0.6 - 0.8 kgf.m, 4.4 - 5.9 lb-ft)

  4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
