Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the battery.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  4. Disconnect the TCM connector (A).
  5. Remove the TCM (B) by loosening bracket nut & bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

  6. Remove the TCM from the bracket by loosening the nuts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (0.9 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 6.5 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
