Repair procedures: Removal

  1. Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

    (Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Remove the battery tray.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

  4. Disconnect the ECM Connector (A).
  5. Remove the ECM bracket assembly (B) after loosening the mounting bolt and nuts,

    ECM bracket mounting bolt/nut  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the ECM after loosening the mounting nuts (A) and screw (B).

    ECM mounting bolt/nut  :

    9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
