DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  • Short to battery in signal harness
  • Open in ground circuit
  • Poor connection or damaged harness
  • Faulty IATS
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage > 6V
  • Time after engine start > 105s, if air temperature at start-up > -30°C (-22°F)
Threshold Value
  • IAT voltage > 4.85V
  • IATS output voltage represents a short to power
Diagnostic Time
  • 10s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 Driving cycles
