Repair Procedures: Removal
- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Separate the engine room junction block.
- Disconnect the front control connector (A).
- Disconnect the starter motor ground cable (B).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the engine wiring cable (C).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the alternator ground cable (D).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)
- Separate the engine room junction block (A) by loosening the bolt and nuts.
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the ESC control module connector (A).
- Disconnect the brake pipes by loosening the flare nuts (A, B).
Tightening torque
Nuts (A): 18.6 - 22.6 N.m (1.9 - 2.3 kgf.m, 13.7 - 16.6 lb.ft)
Nuts (B): 13.7 - 16.7 N.m (1.4 - 1.7 kgf.m, 10.1 - 12.3 lb.ft)
- Remove the ESC control module (HECU) and bracket (C) by loosening the bolts.
Tightening torque:
19.6 - 29.4 N.m (2.0 - 3.0 kgf.m, 14.4 - 21.6 lb.ft)
- Remove the bracket from the ESC control module (HECU) by loosening the bolts.
