Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Remove the rear wheel and tire.

    (Refer to Tires/Wheels - "WHEEL ")

  2. Remove the lower arm cover (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft)

  3. Disconnect the height sensor link (A).

  4. Separate the stabilizer link (A) from the lower arm.

    Tightening torque: 

    98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb.ft)

    NOTE: Using a hex wrench, fix the end of stabilizer link when loosening the nut.

  5. Separate the lower arm (B) by loosening the bolt and nut (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    156.9 - 176.5 N.m (16.0 - 18.0 kgf.m, 115.7 - 130.2 lb.ft)

    NOTE: Set up the jack under the lower arm in order to remove the shock absorber in no-load condition.
  6. Remove the rear coil spring (A).

  7. Remove the spring upper pad (A).

  8. Remove the spring lower pad (A) from the lower arm.

    NOTE: When installing, make sure direction of the arrow at the lower arm shown below.

  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  10. Check the rear alignment.
