Repair Procedures: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Kia Optima. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:
    • The existing valve body cover gasket (A) must be replaced with a new one. (Do not reuse it.)

    • The existing eyebolt washers (8 pcs) must be replaced with new ones. (Do not reuse them.)

  2. Perform the procedures below after installing.
    1. Refill the automatic transaxle with fluid.

      (Refer to Hydraulic System - "FLUID ")

    2. Refill the engine & transaxle system with coolant.

      (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "COOLANT ")

    3. Refill the hybrid motor cooling system with coolant and then perform the air bleeding using the KDS/GDS.

      (Refer to Hybrid Motor System - "COOLANT ")

    4. Confirm that there is no fluid leakage on connections in the engine starting condition.
