- Battery voltage is greater than 10.7V
- Oscillation check
- Required lambda: Lambda = 0.8 for 8s
- Downstream O2S voltage is less than 0.70V for 95s
- Closed loop fuel control is On
- Catalyst Temperature (model) is at between 350°C (662°F) and 925°C (1697°F)
- Mass airflow is greater than 20kg/h
- EGT around downstream O2S (Model) is greater than 350°C (662°F)
- Downstream O2S voltage (Readiness for operation of downstream O2S) is between 0.4 and 0.5V

- Downstream O2S voltage is less than 0.70V
- If allsondary parameters met then fuel system open loop control executed: Lambda = 0.8 for 8s
