The Airbag Module Disposal Procedure

NOTE: Before starting work the air bag associated with the KDS to make fault diagnosis code, using a code list of fault diagnosis is performed related to the work

When the front airbags have been deployed after a collision shall exchange the following parts.

Airbag system control module (SRSCM)
The airbag deployment
The ignition safety belt pretensioners
Lighted anchor pretensioner
Front impact sensors
Airbag wiring harness
Check for damage to the clock spring when deploying the driver air bag and replace if later.

After the crash side airbag/curtain airbag was deployed, replace parts when below.

The ignition safety belt pretensioners
Lighted anchor pretensioner

After repairing the vehicle should ensure that the airbag system is operating normally.

The ignition switch is ON. Air bag warning light should be turned off has been lit for about 6 seconds.

If equipped with an airbag to scrapping the equipment, such as airbags and safety belt pretensioners deploy a vehicle airbag device should be sure first. In addition, when to deploy the air bag device and to be deployed by a qualified technician to an airbag device used it should not be mounted on different vehicles, so re-use is not possible.

CAUTION:

If you do not deploy the airbag to be deployed in an accident, it may cause serious injury, it must be discarded after deployment.

Do not enter the water to the deployed air bag module.
Discard the deployed air bag module securely sealed and then placed in a sturdy plastic bag.
Deployment, Wash your hands with soap and water after repackaging and disposal operations are completed.
