Repair Procedures: Removal: Notes
CAUTION:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
NOTE:
Use seat covers to avoid damaging any surfaces.
- Remove the roof side molding.
(Refer to "ROOF SIDE MOLDING ")
- Remove the front pillar trim.
(Refer to "FRONT PILLAR TRIM ")
- Remove the inside rear view mirror assembly.
(Refer to "INSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ")
- Remove the cowl top cover.
(Refer to "COWL TOP COVER ")
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the windshield glass side molding assembly (A).
- Cut out the adhesive using a cutter (A).
Information
- Please use a cutter with a blade length between 8-12 inches.
- Cut off the sealant on the edge (B) while pulling the piano wire (A) left and right.CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Heat may occur when working on the wires. Be careful not to burn your hands.
- Be careful not to disconnect the piano wire.
- If a piano wire is visible inside the chassis, pull the piano wire (A) line inside.
- Cut off the sealant on (A-A), (B-B) while pulling a piano wire (A) left and right.CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Be careful not to burn your hands as excessive heat may be generated when working on wires.
- Be careful not to break the piano wire.
- Cut off the sealant between A-A using a cutter knife (A).
Information
Use the cutter with a 20 to 30 cm-long blade.
NOTE:- When cutting the sealant between A-A, be careful not to damage the crash pad.
- Be careful not to damage the body painting surface.
- Remove the windshield glass (B) carefully using the glass holder (A).
