Repair Procedures: Disassembly

Remove the insulator dust cover (A).

Using the spring compressor, compress the coilspring (A).

CAUTION:
- Do not compress the spring more than necessary.
- To prevent paint peeling from coil spring, cover the coil spring with a thin cloth or hose before installing strut spring compressor.
- Set the compression position of strut spring compressor correctly for coil spring not to slant when compressing the coil spring.
Using the SST (09546-3X100), loosen the self locking nut.
Tightening torque:

68.6 - 88.2 N.m (7.0 - 9.0 kgf.m, 50.6 - 65.0 lb.ft)

Remove the insulator assembly (A), strut bearing assembly (B), spring upper pad seat assembly (C), spring upper pad (D), bumper stopper (E), bumper stopper (F), coil spring (G) and spring lower pad (H) from the Strut assembly (I).
