July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Signal Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Refer to "FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR (FTPS) " and disconnect Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) connector.
  3. Ignition "ON"
  4. Measure voltage between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  Approx. 0V

  5. Ignition "OFF"
  6. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  7. Refer to "FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR (FTPS) " and disconnect Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) connector.
  8. Measure resistance between Pin No. 3 (Signal) terminal of Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (FTPS) harness connector and chassis ground.

    Specification:  ∞ (infinite)Ω

  9. Is measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
