Repair Procedures: Installation

CAUTION:
Do not switch "ON" the ignition or connect the battery terminal while replacing the front impact sensor.
- Install the new front impact sensor.
- Tighten the front impact sensor mounting bolt.
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.7 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m. 5.7 - 8.6 lb.ft)
- Connect the front impact sensor.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
- After installing the Front Impact Sensor, confirm proper system operation:
- Switch "ON" the ignition. The SRS indicator light should turn on for about six seconds and then off.
