OCS Reset Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Kia Stinger. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Reset OCS after servicing or replacing any parts of the passenger seat (that is not included in full seat assembly).

  1. Switch "OFF" ignition, and connect KDS.
  2. Switch "ON" ignition and "OFF" engine. Then, select "Body Sensor Reset" mode in Airbag System.

  3. The KDS will indicate two steps of OCS Reset mode.
    1. Erase OCS diagnostic codes.
    2. Initialize OCS unit.

    CAUTION:
    • This step must be conducted with the front passenger seat unoccupied.
  4. Select product configuration.
    1. C1: Without seat heater
    2. C2: With seat heater

    CAUTION:
    • Before starting the OCS Reset procedure, cross check for correct seat configuration with the actual vehicle.
    • The center console has different buttons for each seat configuration type. (Refer to the following illustrations.)
  5. The OCS initialization procedure will be performed.

    C1: Reset No Seat Heater Type

    C2: Heater Type Reset (Including Cooling Seat)

    CAUTION:
    • Erase the SRSCM diagnostic codes after resetting the OCS.

    B176300 ECU Defect
    1. Resetting (calibration setting) is not completed.
    2. ECU is damaged from physical stress.

    1. Mat and ECU are not connected.
    2. Mat is damaged from physical stress.

    B111117 IGN voltage high
    1. IGN voltage high

    1. CAN Bus is not working.
