Repair Procedures: Installation

- Set the front tires straight-ahead before assembling the steering wheel.CAUTION: If the steering wheel and the front tires are not set straight ahead together, the number of circulation of steering wheel maybe affected or the cable inside the clock spring may be damaged.
- Factory setting for the clock spring is neutral.NOTE:
- If white cable is visible through the product's 10 O' Clock Neutral Check Window, then the spring is at neutral.
- If white cable is not visible through the product's 10 O' Clock Neutral Check Window, then manually adjust the setting to neutral.

- Set the clock spring in center before assembling it to a steering wheel.CAUTION: If the steering wheel and the front tires are not set straight ahead together, it may affect the number of circulation of steering wheel and damage the cable inside the clock spring.
Damage to the clock spring may cause electric malfunctions in airbag warning lamp, horn, handsfree, auto cruise, heated wire and heated steering, and noise from turning the steering wheel.- Push the auto-lock button placed at the 6 o'clock position and turn it clockwise until it stops.
- Push the auto-lock button placed at the 6 o'clock position and turn approximately 3.4 rotations counter-clockwise to align with the neutral mark (A).
- If white cable is visible through the 10 o'clock neutral check window, then the spring is set to neutral.
- Push the auto-lock button placed at the 6 o'clock position and turn it clockwise until it stops.
- Install on the steering column after checking the clock spring is on neutral range.
- Connect the clock spring harness connector and horn harness connector to the clock spring.
- Install the steering wheel column shroud and the steering wheel.
- Connect the Driver Airbag (DAB) module connector, and then install the Driver Airbag (DAB) module on the steering wheel.
- Connect the battery negative cable.
- Check if the steering wheel remote control, airbag system and horn are normally operating after turning the handle all the way left and right when installing air bag module is done.
