Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
    NOTE: After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the floor console.

    (Refer to Body - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the rear air vent duct (A) after loosening the nut.

  4. Disconnect the Supplemental Restraint System Control Module (SRSCM) connector (A).

  5. Loosen the nuts and then remove the Supplemental Restraint System Control Module (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    6.96 - 7.25 N°m (0.71 - 0.74 kgf°m, 5.13 - 5.35 lb°ft)

    CAUTION: Switch "OFF" the ignition when removing or installing SRSCM or other SRS components to avoid accidental airbag deployment.
    NOTE: Be careful not to damage the SRSCM connector.
