Repair Procedures: Replacement

Information

When removing and installing the trunk lid, an assistant is needed.

Remove the trunk lid trim.
(Refer to " Replacement ")
Remove the rear combination lamp.
(Refer to " Removal ")
Disconnect the connectors and trunk lid wiring harness.
After loosening the mounting bolts, then remove the trunk lid assembly (A).
Tightening torque:

6.9 - 8.8 N m (0.7 - 0.9 kgf m, 5.0 - 6.5 lb ft, 60.8 - 78.1 lb in)

Install in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
- Make sure the trunk lid locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.
- Adjust the trunk lid alignment.
- Make sure the connectors are connected in properly.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
