DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case1  
  • Maximum humidity plausibility check
 
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty humidity sensor (MAFS) circuit
  • Faulty humidity sensor (MAFS)
Case2  
  • Rationality check
Enable Conditions Case1  
  • If the coolant temperature is below 70°C
  • When the temperature difference between the humidity sensor internal temperature value and the ambient air temperature sensor is 6°C or higher
  • General conditions for monitoring the reliability of the humidity sensor
    • HFM chip heating not applied
    • When there is no humidity sensor device error
    • When there is no humidity sensor protocol error
    • When the detection value of the ambient air temperature sensor is -10°C or less than 50°C
    • When the coolant temperature value is -10°C or less than 60°C at engine start-up
    • The difference between the coolant temperature value and the ambient air temperature sensor at engine start-up is less than 10°C
    • The accumulation of crankshaft rotations is more than 100 times
Case2  
  • General conditions for monitoring the reliability of the humidity sensor
    • HFM chip heating not applied
    • When there is no humidity sensor device error
    • When there is no humidity sensor protocol error
    • When the detection value of the ambient air temperature sensor is -10°C or less than 50°C
    • When the coolant temperature value is -10°C or less than 60°C at engine start-up
    • The difference between the coolant temperature value and the ambient air temperature sensor at engine start-up is less than 10°C
    • The accumulation of crankshaft rotations is more than 100 times
Threshold Value Case1  
  • If there is an abnormality in the maximum relative humidity value
Case2  
  • If the difference between the maximum relative humidity and the minimum relative humidity is less than 5%
  • The difference between the maximum HFM humidity temperature and the minimum HFM humidity temperature is 10°C or higher
