Repair Procedures: Removal

- If the compressor is marginally operable, run the engine at idle speed, and let the air conditioning work for a few minutes, then shut the engine off.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/charging station.
- Remove the engine room under cover.

- Loosen the drive belt.

- Separate the suction line (A) and discharge line (B) from the compressor by loosening the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:
21.6 - 32.4 N.m (2.2 -3.3 kgf.m, 15.9 - 23.9 lb-ft)
CAUTION:- Plug or cap the lines immediately after disconnecting them to avoid moisture and dust contamination.
- Press the lock pin and disconnect the compressor connector (A).
- Remove the compressor assembly (A) by loosening the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:
21.6 - 32.4 N.m (2.2 -3.3 kgf.m, 15.9 - 23.9 lb-ft)
