DTC B1040-55: LKAS LDWS Present Error - Coding Code Error: General Description

The Cluster (CLU) memorizes what control modules are installed on the vehicle through CAN bus communication. The vehicle optional information is added in CLU during End Of Line (EOL) coding procedure. A Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) will be set if the optional information is different when compared between memorized optional information from CAN bus and optional information from EOL coding procedure.
During assembly, EOL communication will verify that a DTC is not set during DTC searching. When repairing or replacing the CLU, it is necessary to set the variant code using KDS in order to synchronize the optional components on the vehicle.
