DTC P064A-49: Fuel Pump Control Module: General Description
The low pressure fuel pump is installed in the fuel tank to transfer fuel to the high pressure fuel pump. The fuel pump relay supplies power to the low pressure fuel pump by the control of the Engine Control Module (ECM). When the ignition "ON", turn the relay "ON" and "OFF" for about 2s to diagnose the operation of the fuel pump relay. If the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKPS) signal detects that the engine RPM is greater than 45RPM, the fuel pump relay is switched on again to supply the fuel to the high pressure fuel pump until the ignition "OFF".
