DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Heater Performance Check
  • Poor connector connection
  • Open or Short to ground in power circuit
  • Damaged or corroded terminals
  • HO2S (B1S1)
Enable Conditions Case 1
  • Battery voltage is between 10.7 and 16.1V
  • Time after sensor heating started is over 35s
  • Internal resistance signal is valid
Case 2
  • Battery voltage is between 10.7 and 16.1V
  • EGT around upstream O2S (Model) is higher than 450°C (842°F)
  • Power of sensor heating is higher than 90%
  • Sensor heating time is over 50s
  • Fuel system status is No fuel cut-off over 50s
  • Internal resistance signal is valid
Case 3
  • Battery voltage is between 10.7 and 16.1V
  • EGT around upstream O2S (Model) is higher than 450°C (842°F)
  • Sensor heating time is over 50s
  • Fuel system status is No fuel cut-off over 50s
  • Internal resistance signal is valid
Threshold Value Case 1
  • Ceramic temperature is higher than 755°C (1391°F) for 35sec after heating start (Pass decision is over 755°C (1391°F) for 3 s)
Case 2
  • Ceramic temperature is higher than 755°C (1391°F) (Permanent diagnosis)
Case 3
  • Ceramic temperature is higher than 630°C (1166°F) (Low temperature diagnosis)
Diagnostic Time Case 1
  • 3s
Case 2
  • 60s
Case 3
