July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Occupant Classification System (OCS) Unit

  1. Install the occupant classification system unit on the Front seat track assembly.
  2. Connect the occupant classification system unit connector.
  3. Install the front passenger seat assembly. (Refer to Body - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
  4. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
  5. After installing the occupant classification system, confirm proper system operation.
    NOTE:
    • Switch "ON" the ignition. The SRS indicator light should turn on for about six seconds and then off.
    • The telltale lamp will be turned "ON" for 4 seconds and "OFF" for 3 seconds. Then, it will remain turned "OFF" as long as the OCS does not require suppression and the passenger airbag is enabled.
    • Be sure to reset OCS with KDS after replacing OCS unit.
