Repair Procedures: Removal

Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the KDS when replacing with a new engine control module (ECM).

Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Remove the air cleaner.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
Disconnect the ECM connectors (A).

Remove the ECM (A) by pulling it in the direction of arrow after releasing the hooks.

Remove the bracket (A) from the ECM after removing the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
