Removal And Installation: Notes
- Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery and then wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are facing straight ahead.
- Remove the driver airbag.
(Refer to Restraint - "DRIVER AIRBAG (DAB) MODULE AND CLOCK SPRING ")
- Disconnect the steering wheel connector.
- Loosen the steering wheel bolt and then remove the steering wheel.
Tightening torque:
44.1 - 49.0 N.m (4.5 - 5.0 kgf.m, 32.5 - 36.2 lb.ft)
NOTE:- Do not hammer on the steering wheel to remove it; it may damage the steering column.
- Do not reuse the bolt.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
