Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Install the power liftgate spindle assembly.
  2. Connect the power liftgate spindle connector.
  3. Install the rear pillar trim.
  4. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    CAUTION:
    • When assembling the PTG spindle drive to the ball socket, listen for a 'click' sound to make sure that it is firmly assembled.
    • After assembling the PTG Spindle drive to the ball socket, check the socket clip if it is firmly assembled or not. (the clip should not protrude from the socket.)
    • After assembling the PTG Spindle drive, make sure that the grommet on the body side is firmly assembled.
