Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")

  2. Remove the engine cover.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE COVER ")

  3. Disconnect the Recirculation Control Valve (RCV) hose (A) and breather hose (B).

  4. Remove the air intake hose (A) after removing the clamps.

    Tightening torque: 

    3.0 - 4.9 N.m (0.3 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.6 lb.ft, 26.0 - 43.3 lb.in)

  5. Disconnect the Air Flow Sensor (AFS) connector (A).

  6. Remove the Air Flow Sensor (AFS) (A) after removing the mounting bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 52.1 lb.in)
