Repair Procedures: Removal

Prior to replacing the AWD ECU, check the AWD ECU's clutch learning with the KDS tool.
(Refer to "ADJUSTMENT ")
Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery.
Remove the luggage side trim. (LH side)
(Refer to Body - "LUGGAGE SIDE TRIM ")
Disconnect the AWD ECU connector (A).

Remove the AWD ECU (A) after loosening the mounting nuts.
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)
