DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Voltage range check
  • Poor connection
  • Open or short to battery in harness
  • Open in ground harness
  • IATS
  • ECM
Enable Condition
  • Heat stored in intake manifold is greater than 0°C (32°F)
  • Minimum temperature (AAT and ECT) is greater than -30°C (-22°F)
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor's voltage is greater than 4.935V
  • IAT sensor's voltage represents open or short to battery
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
