DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical check
  • Poor connection
  • Open or short to battery in signal harness
  • Open in ground harness
  • Faulty OTS
  • ECM
Enable Condition
  • Battery voltage is between 6V and 16V
  • Engine coolant temperature is greater than -9°C (15.8°F) or time after engine start is more than 300s
Threshold Value
  • Engine oil temperature is lower than -39 (-38.2°F)
  • EOT sensor's signal represents open circuit or short circuit to battery
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
