On Vehicle Inspection

  1. Inspect the parasitic current.

(Refer to Charging System - "BATTERY ")

    Information

If the parasitic current is more than 100 mA, a fault code may occur in the battery sensor. If the battery sensor fault code is displayed, measure the parasitic current first before proceeding with the battery sensor replacement procedure.

  2. If the parasitic current is normal, replace the battery sensor and perform the following procedure.
    1. Turn the IG ON/OFF once and park the vehicle for at least 4 hours at room temperature. In order to measure the initial value of the State of Charge (SOH) of the battery, battery needs stabilization time.
    2. After 4 hours, START ON/OFF twice or more and check the State of Function (SOF) of the battery by with the KDS.
