Removal & Installation

  1. Remove fascia right closing panel. Remove right footwell side panel trim. Disconnect battery negative terminal. Release ECM connector retaining clip. See Fig 1 .
  2. Maneuver front of connector in direction of bold arrow shown in illustration and detach other end of connector from retaining peg. Release 2 screws securing ECM to right footwell side panel. Withdraw ECM from clip.
  3. To install, refit ECM securely in clip and install 2 screws. Reconnect ECM harness connector. Ensure connector is pushed firmly into its location and that retaining clip secures connector in position. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
