Bleeding Brake System: Notes

CAUTION:
Thoroughly clean brake fluid reservoir and cap before removing cap. Ensure fluid level in master cylinder is adequate at all times during bleeding procedure. Only use DOT 4 brake fluid with a minimum boiling point of 500°F (260°C) and complying with FMVSS 116 DOT 4. DO NOT use DOT 5 silicone brake fluid.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
