Valve Body: Installation

  1. Clean valve body and mating faces. Install NEW "O" ring to speed sensor connector. With assistance, position connector to automatic transmission housing and tighten nut. Align valve body to automatic transmission, ensure manual valve is correctly located. Position speed sensor retaining bracket, and tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Connect connector to automatic transmission.
  2. Ensure mating faces are clean. Install NEW "O" rings to fluid filter. Lubricate with clean transmission fluid. Position fluid filter. Secure with bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Position oil pick-up tube and spacer. Secure with bolt. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install NEW gasket to fluid pan. Position pan on automatic transmission. Secure with bolts and retaining plates. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Tighten forward bolt securing snubber bar to cross member to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Lower vehicle. Refill transmission fluid.
