Wheel Alignment Procedure: Front: Adjusting

  1. Mark position of steering ball joints for reference. Loosen track rod and ball joint pinch bolts. See Fig 1 .
  2. CAUTION: Both track rods must be rotated an equal amount.
  3. Rotate turnbuckle to obtain correct alignment. Ensure ball joint is not rotated.
  4. Recheck front wheel alignment. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Ensure slots in turnbuckle clamps are aligned. See Fig 2 .
  6. Tighten track rod and ball joint pinch bolts to 28 Nm (21 lbs. ft.).
