Adjust Front Toe In/Out

  1. Disconnect battery ground lead. See DISCONNECTING & RECONNECTING BATTERY  under SERVICE PRECAUTIONS.
  2. Mark position of steering ball joints for reference. See Fig 1. Loosen track rod end locknut.
  3. CAUTION: Both track rods must be rotated an equal amount.
  4. Loosen the track rod end lock nuts. Adjust by rotating track rod using hexagon on shaft. DO NOT allow gaiter to twist.
  5. Recheck front wheel alignment. Tighten track rod end locknut to 55 N.m (40 lbf. ft). Connect battery ground lead.
