Navigation Operation: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Land Rover Range Rover. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The navigation computer receives global positioning system (GPS) data from the satellites, via the global positioning system (GPS) antenna. The global positioning system (GPS) data is used by the navigation computer to calculate the vehicle's position. Once the driver has input the desired destination, the navigation computer can calculate a route, based on the driver's preset preferences or the system default settings, to the destination.
Full instructions on navigation system operation can be found in the Navigation Handbook supplied with the vehicle.
