REAR CLIMATE CONTROL MODULE (RHVAC) DTCs

DTC Description Possible Causes Action
B1A59-11 Sensor 5 Volt Supply - Circuit short to ground
  • Face/feet air distribution motor 5 volt supply short circuit to ground
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the Face/feet air distribution motor 5 volt supply circuit.
B1A67-13 Sensor Ground - Circuit open
  • Face/feet air distribution motor and evaporator sensor ground circuit open circuit
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check Face/feet air distribution motor and evaporator sensor ground circuit.
B1B7B-01 Left Rear Air Blend Actuator - General electrical failure
  • Left rear air blend actuator motor locked
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check Left rear air blend actuator motor circuits for open, short circuit. Check the actuator linkage for obstructions or restrictions to movement. Check the motor connector for security and serviceability. Renew the motor.

  • Left rear air blend actuator motor circuit short to ground
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the motor position (AML) circuit between the rear air conditioning switch pack and the mode motor.
B1B7B-15 Left Rear Air Blend Actuator - Circuit short to battery or open
  • Left rear air blend actuator motor circuit short to power or open circuit
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the motor position (AM) circuit between the rear air conditioning switch pack and the mode motor.
B1B7C-01 Right Rear Air Blend Actuator - General electrical failure
  • Right rear air blend actuator motor locked
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check Right rear air blend actuator motor circuits for open, short circuit. Check the actuator linkage for obstructions or restrictions to movement. Check the motor connector for security and serviceability. Renew the motor.

Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the sensor circuit. Renew the sensor.
B1B81-15 Rear Evaporator Temperature Sensor - Circuit short to battery or open
  • Rear evaporator temperature sensor circuit short to power
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the sensor circuit. Renew the sensor.
B1C0A-09 Rear Control panel - Component Failures
  • Component failure
Renew the rear Climate Control switch pack.
B1C0A-88 Rear Control panel - Bus off
  • Communication BUS off
Refer to the Network Communications instructions of the workshop information.
B1C0A-96 Rear Control panel - Component internal failure
  • Internal component failure
Renew the rear Climate Control switch pack.
B1C0B-11 Rear Refrigerant Magnetic Valve - Circuit short to ground
  • Rear refrigerant magnetic valve circuit short to ground
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the magnetic valve circuit. Renew the valve.
U0010-88 Medium Speed CAN Communication Bus - Bus off
  • Bus off
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the module. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CAN network.
U0140-87 Lost Communication With Body Control Module - Missing message
  • Missing message
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the module. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CAN network between the Central Junction Box and Climate Control Module.
U0164-87 Lost Communication With HVAC Control Module - Missing message
  • CAN Link instrument cluster/ATC module missing message
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the module. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CAN network between the Instrument Cluster and Climate Control Module.
U0300-00 Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility - No sub type information
  • Incorrect MS CAN signal configuration (expulsion mode)
  • CAN bus configuration failure
  • CAN bus short circuit to ground
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CAN circuits. Configure the module using the approved diagnostic system.
U0300-55 Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility - Not configured
  • Not configured
Configure the module using the approved diagnostic system.
U0300-87 Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility - Missing message
  • Missing message
Configure the module using the approved diagnostic system.
U0401-86 Invalid Data Received from ECM/PCM A - signal invalid
  • Invalid data received via the CAN Bus
  • High speed CAN bus circuit fault
  • Medium speed CAN bus circuit fault
  • Component internal failure
NOTE: The engine control module is on HS-CAN, the rear automatic temperature control module is on MS-CAN, the instrument cluster is the gateway module and transfers the data from HS-CAN to MS-CAN
Check the engine control module and instrument cluster for related stored DTCs. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the high speed CAN network between the engine control module and the instrument cluster, check the medium speed CAN network between the instrument cluster and the rear automatic temperature control module for circuit fault.
U0422-86 Invalid Data Received From Body Control Module - signal invalid
  • Invalid data received via the medium speed CAN bus
  • Medium speed CAN bus circuit fault
  • Component internal failure
Check the central junction box for related stored DTCs. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the medium speed CAN network between the central junction box and rear automatic temperature control module for circuit fault.
U0424-86 Invalid Data Received From HVAC Control Module - signal invalid
  • Invalid data received via the medium speed CAN bus
  • Medium speed CAN bus circuit fault
  • Component internal failure
Check the climate control module for related stored DTCs. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the medium speed CAN network between the climate control module and rear automatic temperature control module for circuit fault.
U1A14-49 CAN Initialization Failure - Internal electronic failure
  • Internal electronic failure
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the power and ground connections to the module. Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, complete a CAN network integrity test. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CAN network.
U3002-81 Vehicle Identification Number - Invalid serial data received
  • Invalid serial data received
  • Module installed from another vehicle
  • Module incorrectly configured
Configure the module using the approved diagnostic system.
