Front Wheel Speed Sensor: Installation
- Make sure the wheel speed sensor location in the wheel knuckle is free of dirt.
- Install the wheel speed sensor.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Attach the wiring harness to the 5 clips.
- Tighten the bolt to 9 Nm (7 lb.ft).
- Secure the brake caliper and anchor plate to the wheel knuckle.
- Tighten the bolts to 275 Nm (203 lb.ft).
- Secure the brake hose retaining bracket to the wheel knuckle.
- Tighten the bolt to 25 Nm (18 lb.ft).
- Install the fender splash shield. Refer to Fender Splash Shield article.
- Install the wheel and tire.
- Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm (103 lb.ft).
- Depress the brake pedal several times, check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir and top-up with brake fluid if necessary.
- If a new wheel speed sensor has been installed, interrogate the ABS system using T4.
NOTE:
Make sure the electrical connector retaining clip is attached to the body wiring harness.
