Rear Wheel Speed Sensor: Installation

  1. Make sure the wheel speed sensor location in the wheel knuckle is free of dirt.
  2. Install the wheel speed sensor.
    • Attach the wiring harness to the 4 clips.
  3. Secure the wheel speed sensor to the wheel knuckle.
    • Tighten the bolt to 9 Nm (7 lb.ft).
    • Attach the wiring harness to the clip.
  4. Connect the ABS sensor electrical connector.
    • Attach the wiring harness.
    NOTE: Make sure the electrical connector retaining clip is attached to the body wiring harness.
  5. If a new wheel speed sensor has been installed, interrogate the ABS system using T4.
