TRANSIT MODE
- Starting in Transit mode
- Press the Hazard lamp switch.
- Firmly depress the brake pedal.
- Press the engine START/STOP button.
-
CAUTION: It is possible to lock the keys inside the vehicle when in Transit mode. The Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM) will not detect that the keys are inside the vehicle.
When in Transit Mode, the BCM affects the following:
- central locking - disabled
- tailgate release - disabled
- glove box release - disabled
- double-locking - disabled
- security alarm - remains in unset state
- all handle lock switch/paddle/lever lock/unlock requests - disabled (mechanical locking from lock/unlock switch of local door only)
- remote keyless entry/passive locking requests - disabled
- Door Soft Close operation
- When exiting the vehicle while in Transit mode, if a door is closed at the exact time that the Transit Relay powers down (~17 seconds), the cinch motor may lock the driver's door in the first closure state and will not allow the door to unlock manually via the emergency key or electronically. If the vehicle is locked in this state, the Hazard lamp switch must be pressed to enable the Transit Relay
- Removing the vehicle from Transit mode
- Refer to the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) manual on TOPIx for full details on how to remove the vehicle from Transit mode.
