DTC C1049-62: Front Axle Rod Pressure Regulating Valve - Signal compare failure: Action
- Check for air and/or other contaminants in dynamic response hydraulic fluid circuit and bleed as required
- Check dynamic response hydraulic fluid levels. Check the dynamic response reservoir and hydraulic circuits for leaks. Repair or replace leaking components as required. Clear the DTCs and retest
- Drain reservoir and inspect mesh filter for signs of significant contamination. Identify source of contamination (check condition and operation of dynamic response actuators and hydraulic pump) and rectify as required. Flush dynamic response hydraulic fluid circuit and recharge with clean hydraulic fluid
- Check the security and integrity of the stabilization link. Repair or replace components as required. Clear the DTCs and retest
- Check the security and integrity of the roll bar module. Repair or replace components as required. Clear the DTCs and retest
- If the fault persists, check the dynamic response control module for dynamic response actuator pressure sensor fault DTCs and refer to the relevant DTC index. Clear the DTCs and retest
- If the fault persists, check and install a new dynamic response valve block as required and reset adaptive data. Clear the DTCs and retest
- Using JLR approved diagnostic equipment, demand 55 bar pressure from the pressure control valve for 5 minutes to heat the system. Then, demand 50 bar from the front axle rod pressure regulating valve for 2 minutes, if pressure drops and/or the pipes to the front actuator get hot, this indicates a faulty actuator. Check and install a new roll bar module as required. Clear the DTCs and retest
- If DTC occurs on right hand bends only, check reservoir suction port screen for damage. If damage is evident, replace reservoir if faulty and bleed system. Clear the DTCs and retest
- If the fault persists, check the dynamic response hydraulic pump pressure/fluid flow. If faulty, install a new dynamic response hydraulic pump
