DTC B14DC-93: Electronic Toll Collection Module - No operation: Action

  1. Check the electronic toll collection card reader details are displayed on the screen, if the details are displayed go to step  14. If the details are not displayed go to step 2
  2. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, perform routine - On Demand Self Test (0x0202) and read the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). If the DTC is set go to step 3, if the DTC is no longer set go to step  14
  3. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and disconnect the USB cable from the electronic toll collection module
  4. Measure the voltage between pin 2 of the USB cable and a local ground connection on the vehicle
  5. If the voltage is greater than 4 volts, go to step  8, if not go to step 6
  6. Disconnect the USB cable from the user interface panel or the USB hub (if installed) and measure the resistance between pin 2 of the electronic toll collection module and pin 3 of the user interface panel or USB hub (if installed)
  7. If the resistance is greater than 1Ω, replace the cable and go to step  2, if not go to step 8
  8. Disconnect the USB cable from the user interface panel or the USB hub (if not already disconnected). Measure the resistance between pin 1 of the electronic toll collection module and pin 4 of the user interface panel or USB hub (if installed)
  9. If the resistance is greater than 1Ω, replace the cable and go to step  2, if not go to step 10
  10. Measure the resistance between pin 3 of the electronic toll collection module and pin 2 of the user interface panel or USB hub (if installed)
  11. If the resistance is greater than 1Ω, replace the cable and go to step  2, if not go to step 12
  12. Measure the resistance between pin 4 of the electronic toll collection module and pin 1 of the user interface panel or USB hub (if installed)
  13. If the resistance is greater than 1Ω, replace the cable and go to step  2, if not go to step 14
  14. Check the front infotainment control module software release notes to see if a repair is available and update the front infotainment control module and repeat step  2. If no software update is available go to step 15
  15. Check for other Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) relating to the customer concern and follow the DTC index
