DTC C053C-62: Wheel Speed Sensor Generic Range/Performance - Signal compare failure: Action
NOTE:
- This DTC is set when the anti-lock brake system control module detects a difference in the expected wheel speed when compared to the other wheels. However it has not been possible to detect which wheel is at fault
- To validate the repair a drive cycle may be needed to release the system, (road test the vehicle from stationary to 30km/h (19 mph) and hold for 7 seconds)
- Check that the wheels and tires comply with the manufacturer's specification for the vehicle
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check any wheel speed sensor power circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check any wheel speed sensor signal circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Install the correct wheel speed sensor
- Install or tighten the wheel speed sensor correctly
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest. If the fault persists, install a new wheel speed sensor
