ISSUE
When attempting to complete the "Replace ECU" or "Update ECU" on any door module the technician may find different problems:
- 'Replace ECU':
- All vehicles: After completing this application, the technician may find that some door modules stop communicating with the tool. The door functionalities are affected by this concern. This concern will be solved on the next PATHFINDER release (PF-351)
- 'Update ECU':
- L663/Defender: This routine is not possible on Rear Door modules. This causes a mismatch between SW levels on the vehicle and the door functionalities may be affected.
- L462/Discovery: After having a successful update to the modules, the routine to calibrate the window fails to complete. The doors fail to lock.
CAUSE
There are different causes to the above concerns:
- "Replace ECU" The same software is resolved for four modules, instead of resolving specific software for each module.
- "Update ECU": The latest software released for L663 and L462 has been incorrectly released.
PERMANENT CORRECTIVE ACTION
This concern has been resolved with the release of PATHFINDER version 355. The manual patch will no longer be available to download and this SSM will be deleted in 7 days.
