ISSUE

When using camera plan view ("birds eye view") or clear sight ground view ("see through bonnet" feature) (or clear sight ground view) the image under the vehicle has stitches a repeating pattern of dark and light strips ("zebra stripes").

NOTE: Certain Conditions can increase the likelihood of the limitation to occur, The limitation is present at all times, but is more visible in certain conditions
  • strong contrast between vehicle shadow and road surface
  • bright lighting that creates a bold vehicle shadow (strong sunlight, indoor lighting)

CAUSE

This Condition seen/reported by the customer is a limitation of the Proximity camera system and how it stitches images together for features "see through bonnet" and "clear sight ground view"

ACTION

As an interim action please inform the customer that this is a system limitation and operating as designed. Please refer to the Topix WSM section 413-13 - Description and Operation for further details regarding the System and its limitations.

No further service actions Required DO NOT replace NFSM for this condition.

Please raise an EPQR including images and videos, to allow us to capture these issues.
