ISSUE

When carrying out an engine diagnostic session using TOPIx Cloud Diagnostics, the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P013E-00 '02 Sensor Delayed Response - Rich to Lean Bank 1 Sensor 2' may be present in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

CAUSE

Sensitive trigger point for storage of DTC P013E-00.

ACTION

When carrying out diagnosis of DTC P013E-00 and the diagnostic flow guides towards a fault with the oxygen sensor do not replace the sensor if the DTC is listed as 'Historic'  as it is unlikely the sensor is the root cause. If the DTC is listed as 'Confirmed'  and after the appropriate diagnostic path an continuity checks have been followed with no fault identified, then consideration may be given to a replacement oxygen sensor.
